Tonight’s teleconference topic is “10 Principles of Intuitive Living: A Roadmap to Full Recovery from an Eating Disorder”. This teleconference is designed for those suffering from eating disorders, their friends and families, and for anyone with a desire to have more joy and peace in their lives. Several years ago, Intuitive Eating was offered as a philosophy for a healthy relationship with food that comes from listening to our bodies and following those cues rather than seeking external ones to know how and when to eat. "Intuitive Living" is a broader concept that suggests we can best make decisions, have meaningful relationships, and be at peace with ourselves when we listen to internal messages, which come from the heart. When we truly follow the heart—rather than simply allowing our thoughts or emotions to rule—we find ourselves spiritually alive, giving and receiving the abundance life has to offer, and enjoying serenity (even in difficult circumstances). As you will learn shortly, Principles of Intuitive Living are critical for being in recovery and for becoming fully recovered. Our wonderful co-presenters are Dr. Michael E. Berrett, licensed psychologist and CEO, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Center for Change, and Jenni Schaefer, author, speaker, and consultant with Center for Change. MentorCONNECT is delighted to present “Goodbye Ed, Hello Me”, Part Two, and we are excited to welcome back one of MentorCONNECT’s favorite presenters, Jenni Schaefer. Jenni is a tireless advocate for our ability and right to feel at home in our own skin. She is known for showing up to events wearing her signature t-shirt that has the words “Recovered. Period.” emblazoned across the front. This is a message every single one of us is hungry for, and we are grateful to Jenni for her living example that full and lasting recovery IS possible. Jenni is also a huge fan of eating disorders mentoring, and has dedicated a chapter in “Goodbye Ed, Hello Me” to the subject of mentoring. In this teleconference, Jenni reads from her new book "Goodbye Ed, Hello Me", answers your questions, and shares honestly about the hard work it took for her to achieve full and lasting recovery. For more about Jenni, visit her at www.jennischaefer.com
p.s. sincere apologies for the abrupt ending to this podcast - due to technical difficulties we were unable to capture Jenni's presentation in its entirety.

Jenni Schaefer is literally living proof that full recovery is possible. As author and therapist Carolyn Costin says in her introduction to “Goodbye Ed, Hello Me”, "Jenni makes recovery and full living seem possible for everyone." As Jenni herself says, "I want people who struggle with eating disorders to know it is possible to move from being 'in recovery' to being 'fully recovered’. I want them to get into life and follow their dreams, not be stuck in or defined by an eating disorder. "She often says, "I like to tell people, 'Never, never, never give up. The gifts of recovery are amazing."
In this teleconference you have the opportunity to hear Jenni’s thoughts about creating and embracing life beyond eating disorders and learn how to apply them to your own life. After you hear Jenni’s inspiring words about life post-Ed you will find yourself to join her there one day – soon! For more information about Jenni, you can visit her online at www.jennischaefer.com.
